The National Examinations Council (NECO) has announced the result of the 2019 Cowbellpedia Mathematics Qualifying Examination which was conducted in February, 2019.
Two representatives each from Anambra, Benue, Ogun and Rivers states emerged the lead in the fifteen perfect scores recorded by fourteen schools from ten states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
The results of the competition, which was sponsored by Cowbell Milk, the flagship brand of Promasidor, can be assessed through www.cowbellpedia.ng and also be assessed via Facebook.
Twelve out of the outstanding students emerged from the junior category while the remaining three emerged from the senior category.
A total of 50,073 students, comprising 29,073 junior and senior categories sat for the qualifying examination in 203 centres across the country.
With the stage one over, 108 students will be proceeding to the second stage which is the television quiz show. It will run through preliminary, semi-finals and finals with the best six students in each category for the grand prize.
The Managing Director of Promasidor Nigeria Limited, Anders Einarsson had earlier announced at the commencement of the competition that the winner in each category will receive a cash prize of N2 million in addition to an all-expense paid educational trip abroad.
