26-Year-Old Female NYSC Member Makes Kwara State Cabinet

AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Executive Governor of Kwara State, on Tuesday submitted names of four women to the state House of Assembly as commissioner-nominees which included a 26-year-old female corps member, Miss Joana Kolo, who is currently undergoing her compulsory National Youth Service Corps in Jigawa State.

Miss Kolo, the youngest commissioner-nominee in the history of Kwara State, is a 2018 graduate of Library Science from the Kwara State University (KWASU).

Kolo, if confirmed, would be Nigeria’s youngest commissioner, a record being held by Oyo State’s 27-year-old Oluwaseun Fakorede.

It was made known that Miss Kolo currently teaches at Model Boarding Junior Secondary School, Guru, Jigawa state and her screening for the political post would hold after she completes her NYSC service in the next two week.
