Abductors Of UNIZIK, COOU Students Apprehended

Suspected kidnappers of students of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) and Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojokwu University (COOU) have been arrested by the Nigerian Police.


According to report by the Police Spokesman in Anambra, Mohammed Haruna, the suspects are Kingsley Udorji, 33 and Joseph Darlington, 25.


They were apprehended at Osisioma, Aba in Abia state by police detectives attached to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) following a discreet investigation for abducting Obinna Favour, 18 of UNIZIK and Amakaeze Luke, 22 of COOU.


“The suspects who specialise in abducting university students using various tricks allegedly conspired and kidnapped one Obinna Favour, 18 years on the 27th of May and equally kidnapped one Amakaeze Luke, 22 years on the 31st of May, 2019.


“Victims, who are students of Anambra State University and UNIZIK, were later released by the suspects after collecting ransom.


“Exhibits recovered from the suspects include three handsets belonging to the victims. Case is under invwstigation after which suspects would be charged to court for prosecution,” Haruna stated.
