Three outstanding students of Anchor University, Odufote Israel, Nwakaibe David and Ochoyi Joshua, have developed and designed a high-end customised application library management system.
The application handles book inventory management, e-labeling and identification, registration, onsite and offsite borrowing and returning of books, e-tracking systems, among other functions.
“Some of the major problems we usually have with our library were issues of books identification, registration, and some others but with this app, students can do their registration online with any internet accessible device,” Joshua, one of the students stated during the presentation of the application to the university management.
The brilliant students revealed that they were able to develop the application sufficiently after they received a scholarship from New Horizons.
It was reported that in 2018, New Horizons gave an award to the three best Computer Science students of the institution which were converted to training in electronics and application development.
