The Chartered Institute of Bankers has made it known that that about 1,222 graduating students will be certified as professional microfinance bankers at its upcoming 2019 graduation/prize awards of the institute.
It also made it known that no fewer than 848 other students who had successfully completed the professional examinations of the institute would be inducted.
According to CIBN, the inductees would include thirty-four chartered banker MBA candidates and thirty-seven others with various certifications in banking.
In a statement by the institute, the event would feature presentation of prizes to students whose performances in the 2018 examinations were outstanding adding that a lecture titled, ‘Repositioning for relevance in a competitive environment’, would be delivered ny the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Ecobank Nigeria Limited, Mr. Patrick Akinwuntan.
Also, according to the statement, the special guest of honour in the coming event would be the Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr. Adebisi Shonubi, while the President of Council, CIBN, Dr. Uche Olowu, would chair the event.
The Registrar/CEO of CIBN, Mr. Seye Awojobi would be the chief host adding that the event was expected to attract stakeholders from the banking and financial industry.
