CIBN Awards Scholarship To Covenent University Graduate

The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), has warded a N6.244 million scholarship to a Covenant University graduate, Miss Okikioluwa Uzoma Oladipo, who emerged the winner of the 2019 Charterd Banker MBA (CBMBA) Scholarship Award for the best graduating student in the linkage institutions.

The brilliant graduate emerged the winner of the scholarship following her outstanding performance at both the written assessment and oral interview which was held at the Bankers House, Lagos.

Oladipo’s performance landed her an award of a fully-paid tuition through the MBA Programme.

A total number of thirty best graduating students in Banking and Finance Departments from twenty-eight linkage institutions across the country competed for the scholarship award.

According to findings by schoolworld, one of the advantages of the linkage partnership between CIBN and tertiary institutions is targeted at recognising, rewarding and reinforcing the culture of excellence and hard work among students offering Banking and Finance with a view to raising new generation of bankers, who would have respect for the values of hard work, ethics, and professionalism.

The CBMBA Programme is an innovative international programme designed to adequately equip members in the financial industry with requisite knowledge, skills and competencies.

The competition is an annual event organised by CIBN in collaboration with the Bangor Business School (Bangor University, UK) for the best graduating student of CIBN’s linkage institutions in Nigeria.

Upon successful completion of the programme, a unique triple qualification of MBA Banking & Finance of Bangor University, UK; Associate Membership of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, Scotland, UK; and Associate Membership of the CIBN will be conferred.
