ICreate Club, Vitafoam Collaborates To Reward Outstanding Pupils As Miss Okeke Bags ‘Creative Genius’ Award

The ICreate Club in partnership with Vitafoam Nigerian Plc has rewarded thirty pupils in Lagos State Private Schools for their outstanding performance as part of efforts to motivate them into creative thinking and developing future leaders that can think out of the box.

The creative puipls were awarded with the “Creative Genius Awards” at the end of a painting competition, which was held at the University of Lagos (UNILAG).

The founder and Creative Director of ICreate Club, Eniola Afolayan, while addressing participants at the competition which was tagged; “Pillow Art Challenge”, made it known that the competition was beyond the scope of fine art as it embodies all aspects of human creativity.

“Our competition is to spur children towards creativity. We deliberately decided to partner with Vitafoam Nigeria Plc whose products are highly creative and it has been a very successful partnership.

“The pillow art challenge is not just about Fine Art competition but rather it embodies all aspects of human creativity, including development of future leaders who can think outside the box. The competition is always a one-yeart engagement with the year three pupils of 30 participating schools across Lagos State.


“Participants are encouraged to produce creative materials that showcase Vitafoam’s products. Vitaform products cut across human and domestic lives. The process for selecting winners is rigorous.

“A child is given a plain white scatterd pillow; he or she is expected to transform it into a masterpiece that tells a unique strory with a painting brush,” Afolayan stated.

Afolayan added by saying that voting by the panel of judges led to the determination of the overall winners out of the top six pupils in each school.

The Group Products Manager of Vitafoam, Racheal Ogolo, disclosed that the company’s support for the club was in line with its objective of defining people’s art of living by going back to the basics and placing premium on the young ones who are the future leaders of tomorrow.

The top six pupils won prizes at the competion while the overall winner, Miss Meesoma Okeke from Sunnydale School, GRA Ikeja emerged the “Creative Genius” and went home with an M4 Planet bed, pillow, duvets, set of bedsheets and shopping voucher of N30,000.
