INEC Promises NYSC Members Automatic Employment As Kogi, Bayelsa Decide

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has revealed it will offer automatic employment to National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members who are dedicated and found with integrity in the coming November 2019 Kogi and Bayelsa governship elections.
Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, INEC Chairman, who made the promise at the orientation camp in Abuja on Monday, stated that the commission was receiving the 2019 Genral Election and would also offer employment to the NYSC election ad hoc workers found to be diligent and with integrity.

Prof. Yakubu made this known as the European Union donated election monitoring gadgets to seventy-five exceptional corps members drawn from thirty-six states which included laptops and mobile phones.
“The commission has embarked on the review of the 2019 General Elections and there are many corps members who did very well. We will identify them and reward those who did well in the electionswith automatic employment,” Yakuba stated.

The Head of the EU delegation, Ketil Karlsen, noted that youths in Nigeria must be encouraged to participate freely and peacefully in the electoral process.
