Jigawa:  Gov Badaru Dissolves Governing Councils of Tertiary Institutions

The Executive Governor of Jigawa state, Alhaji Muhammad Abubakar Badaru, has dissolved all the Governing Councils and Boards of tertiary institutions and agencies under the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology in the state.


This was contained in a statement forwarded to journalists by the Public Relations Officer to the Secretary to the State Government, Malam Ismail Muhammed.


Reports revealed that the affected tertiary institutions and agencies included, College of Education, Gumel; Jigawa State Polytechnic, Dutse; and Jigawa State Institute for Information Technology, Kazaure.


Others are College of Islamic and Legal Studies, Ringim; Bilyaminu Usman Polytechnic, Hadejia; Jigawa State Library Board; Islamic Education Bureau and Jigawa State Scholarship Board.


The statement also extended the state government’s appreciation for the services rendered by the members of the Governing Councils and Boards.
