Kwara State Govt Shuts Down 99 Schools Over Violation of Regulations

The Kwara State Government on Thursday shut down ninety-nine private schools across the entire state which included private nursery and primary schools.

According to the Press Secretary of Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, Kamaldeen Y.Aliagan, the affected schools were shut down over illegal operation by the owners.

Hajia Mariam Ayodeji Garba, Permanent Secretary of the State’s Ministry of Education, stated that the proprietors of the affected schools violated the laid down rules and regulations of government in respect of the establishment of the schools.

Garba warned that the present government under the leadership of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq will not compromise standard in the education sector and other sectors of the economy.

She made it known that the present administration was committed to the provision of sound and quality education that will make products of the schools compete favourably with other students acroaa the world.
