Police Arrest Three Undergraduate Students For Allegedly Gang-Raping Ondo College Female Student

The Ondo State Police Command has arrested three undergraduate students of the Ondo State College of Health Technology, Akure for allegedly gang-raping a female student of the institution.

According to findings made available to schoolworld, the victiom, a student at the Environmental Health Technician Department of the College, was at her boyfriend’s apartment at Barristers Lodge area of the school when the incident occurred.

Femi Joseph, the Police Public Relations Officer of the command, identified the suspects as Charles Eyitayo, Damilola Aderoboye and Blessing Michael and made it known that investigation had begun into the matter.

“We have commenced an investigation into the matter, and after the investigation, the suspects would be charged to court,” he stated.

Narrating how the incident happened, the victim said, “I was in the room when the three of them forcefully had their way in and bounced on me. I begged them to please leave me alone but they refused. They asked one of them to forcefully undress me and before you know it the three of them raped me.

“They even threatened me that they had the recordings of the escapade and would upload the videos on the social media if I should tell anyone. Yet, I couldn’t keep the trauma to myself. I had to tell one of my friends in confidence who reported the issue to the police and the boys were tracked and arrested.

The Dean of Student Affairs of the institution, Abiola Ogunro, who also confirmed the incident, stated that, “We are aware that the police have started their investigations on the case and they have promised to get back to us”.
