Students of the Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) in Ogun state, on Wednesday had a clash with men of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad and along the line burnt their operation vehicle.
According to findings by schoolword, confrotation occurred within the institution’s campus when the students prevented the SARS operatives from arresting some students suspected to be involved in cyber crime, popularly known as Yahoo Yahoo.
According to eyewitnesses, the clash started when the SARS operatives chased some students into the campus who they suspected were into cyber fraud and attempted to arrest them.
It was reported that they pursued the students from Ijebu-Ode to the Ijegun campus where the students entered the school and escaped through the help of their colleagues.
It was further gathered that the students blocked the operatives’ patrol vehicle, forcing them to shoot into the air several times to disperse the students.
But the students reportedly resisted their colleagues’ arrest, vandalised the Toyata Camry care used as SARS operational vehicle, and then set it ablaze.
