UniAbuja Appoints KWASU’s Outgoing VC To Same Position

The outgoing Vice Chancellor of Kwara State University (KWASU), Prof. Abdulrasheed Na’Allah, whose tenure will end by July, has been appointed as the new Vice Chancellor of the University of Abuja (UniAbuja).

The Chairman of the Governing Council of UniAbuja, Alhaji Sani Maikudi, has presented a letter of appointment to Prof. Na’Allah over the weekend.

Born in 1962, the VC obtained a BA in English from the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) in 1988 and received M.A. Literature in English from the same institution in 1992.

In 1999, he received his PhD in Comparative Literature from the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada and subsequently became a Professor and chair of African Studies at the Western Illinois University before he became a VC at KWASU.

 

Prof. Na’Allah, who has authored and co-authored numerous books, is a recipient of national and international awards.
