An undergraduate student of the Osun State University, Abass Olalekan, has been allegedly stabbed and robbed by suspected members of a cult group.
Olalekan, who is a 400L student of Human Resource Management Department, was reported to have been attacked at the Royal Spring Hotel, Ijabe in Okuku.
According to one of the victim’s friends, Olalekean has been taken to the hospital and he is responding to treatment.
Men of the Special Anti-Cultism Squad of the Osun State Police Command were said to have arrested nine suspected cultists in connection with the incident.
A top security told newsmen that one locally made pistol and a cutlass were recoverd from the suspects.
The Osun State Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Ige, has warned the youths in the state to shun cultism, adding that the command would not tolerate any act of lawlessness.
