University of Calabar Suspends 3 Students Over Forgery, Cultism, Robbery

Prof. Zana Akpagu, Vice Chancellor, University of Calabar has approved the suspension of three students of the University for their involvement in criminal activities.

 

The suspension of the three students of the institution was disclosed in a release signed by the Registrar of the university, Moses Abang.

 

“Ofem Hope David, 300L student of the Department of Theatre, Film and Media Studies was suspended over robbery case while Collins Oden Agbor, 300L student of the Department of Genetics and Biotech was suspended for cultism.

 

“Bassey Ekpenyong Divine, 400L student of the Department of Sociology, was suspended for forgery of GSS results sheets,” the release stated.

 

According to the release, the students are suspended from their academic programs in the University, adding that they are to stay away from the campus while preparing to appear before the Students’ Disciplinary Committee for further investigation.

 

The release, however, directed the respectice Deans and Heads of Departments to take note and ensure full compliance with the directive.
