University of Lagos Bars Omoyele Sowore From Speaking At MSSN Event – Sahara Reporters

Human right activist and pro-democracy campaigner, Omoyele Sowore, has been barred from speaking at an event at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) after so much pressure from the Government over planned mass demonstrations to be led by him.

According to reports made available to schoolworld, Sowore is spearheading a nationwide protest against the Nigerian establishment tagged #RevolutionNow Days of Rage which has been scheduled to hold on the 5th of Agust, 2019.

The Muslim Students Society of Nigeria (MSSN), UNILAG Branch, had invited Sowore as a guest speaker for an academic counselling seminar which was to hold on the 31st of July, 2019, at the J.F Ade AjayiAuditorium but was, however, barred from speaking by the group in a “regrettable correspondence” which he confirmed to be directly linked to orders from the FG.
