Salman Umar, a close friend of late Ibrahim, said that the deceased died at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital where he had been receiving treatment.

Umar, who expressed deep shock over the death of his close friend, stated that Ibrahim will be sorely missed by his colleagues and many people who knew him because of his friendly characters.

“We are deeply saddened over the sudden death of Ibrahim though we new he was battling with a terminal ailment. Ibrahim was a special, caring, humble, loving, pious, brilliant and generous fellow.

“He was always there for so many of us who were close to him. Little wonder, he was many things to different people. His death is an emotional disaster for his colleagues and family members,” Umar stated.
