We’re Considering CBT For Objective Examinations – WAEC Registrar

Dr. Iyi Uwadiae, Registrar of West African Examination Council (WAEC), has disclosed that the examination council is considering the use of Computer Based Test (CBT) for the objective aspect of their examinations.

The WAEC boss made the closure on Monday in Abuja at the 37th Annual Conference of the Association for Educational Assessment in Africa (AEAA) themed, “Innovations in Educational Assessment”

At the conference which was hosted by WAEC, Uwadiae stated that four centres are fully equipped for the CBT.

“While we are doing that, we have to also look at the readiness of the various schools because if you go into it and some schools are not ready then there will be a problem,” he stated.

“We are working towards that, sensitising the various member countries and asking them to go along with them so that the five member countries, schools and the students must be prepared,” he added.
